First off Hieroglyphics recently released The Kitchen. To keep it brief, the album is a true testament to why this group has remained one of the most celebrated Hip-Hop acts for over 3 decades… The Kitchen encompasses everything that fans have grown to love about this collective, dope rhymes, beats, scratches, and overall melodies and that Oakland hip-hop steez. Check out the visual for “It’s Partly Me” below:
Speaking of dope videos, San Jose’s very own Opski Chan recently released some unique visuals for “Stay Gold” off of his 2011 release, Pushers & Prophets, produced entirely by Mr. Aeks . Check out the visual for “Stay Gold” below, which is directed by Bryce Grimm:
Speaking of the 408, Rey Resurreccion was recently announced by Thizzler.Com as one of the #BAF10 (Bay Area Freshman 10). This accolade is a no brainer to some of us who have been witness to Rey’s hard work in the hip-hop game for years now, good to see the bay is catching up. Rey also released a project yesterday by the name of First Street Sessions along with fellow 408 artists Locsta Villain & M-10. Check it out below:
Oakland emcee, Young Gully recently released visuals to the opening track, “Diamonds” off his mixtape #HM5. Gully has been a listener favorite on KSJS Hip-Hop shows, this is another dope visual on his VEVO channel, following up “Talk to You” which dropped a few months back. Watch Diamonds below:
Last but not least, the homie Berner, who is currently on tour with Wiz Khalifa, A$AP Rocky, Joey Bada$$, Trinidad James & many more on the Under the Influence of Music Tour, just dropped a hot visual. The homie Nima Fadavi is Berner’s DJ on the tour, and KSJS was in the buidling last Wednesday at Shoreline Amphitheatre. Berner’s Drugstore Cowboy mixtape drops soon, and features this track, “Come On”, check out the visual below:
San Francisco’s very own, sayknowledge has released a new track. His previous drop, “Art Goons” quickly became a favorite on airwaves and retired from our rotation last week at #2 on our top 40, after being played over 40 times. Check out the new track below:
