Ekali is by far one of the most insane sets anyone will ever see in their lifetime.

He always incorporates everyone’s favorite songs and enhances them to make them sound even better.

On October 15, 2018, at The Catalyst Club in Santa Cruz, California, I was fortunate enough to see him perform for a fourth time.

There were three incredible openers for his show that I had never even heard of but they all blew my mind.

The openers were Fishy, Jaron and 1788-L, all of which have similar styles as well as their own individualistic styles.

Some were more “simpy” and others were more hardcore-mosh and head bang type of music.

Ekali recently produced his newest EP called Crystal Eyes, and I definitely recommend listening to it if you’ve never heard it.

“Leaving” feat. Yuna as well as “Forever” feat. Elohim seemed to be the crowd’s favorites from that EP, but all six songs on it are phenomenal and got the crowd moving the entire time.

Just the way Ekali presents himself and the way he interacts on stage just shows how passionate he is about what he does.

Every single time I have seen him, he just gets 100x better and proves himself as one of the best sets someone could possibly see.

If you ever get the opportunity to attend an Ekali show, TAKE IT!
