RTVF 121—Activity in Radio-TV-Film
Mondays: 6:00-8:00pm
RTVF 121 KSJS-FM is a 3-unit course that is connected to our award-winning, campus radio station (on-air since 1963.) It is an upper-division course, but is open to all students, at all levels (Frosh, Soph, Junior, Senior), from all majors on campus.
KSJS-FM broadcasts throughout the South Bay (this means we are a real licensed and professional radio station, not just a student “project.”) How cool would it be to have professional broadcasting/business experience to put on your resume before you graduate?
We are proud to be a completely student-run organization. Students earn class credit by working in one or more of the station’s departments (music, on-air, sports, business, promotions, traffic, etc.) Students can plan their activity hours around their school/work schedules, making the KSJS course flexible, fun and a great learning experience! The icing on the cake? A bunch of great people are involved with the station!
So, contact us to find out how you can get involved in this really great organization and class!
